At a doctor's office, no one is masking but me (KN95).

Which is hardly surprising but is depressing.

Edit: and some of the unmasked are coughing.

Edit #2: I saw two people mask (surgical masks) among the staff. Not great, but at least some are making an effort.

idk if it's helpful for anyone to hear, but ive been having issues with inflamed acne on my cheeks (not quite around my mouth, but the surface area thats most exposed to the humidity under a respirator). ive been struggling to manage it, i think partially because i also have eczema and it's hard to use most treatments for this reason without having a flare up from the product itself orz.

i've tried so many different treatments alone over the course of years, and nothing really helped. for the past year, ive just been using benzol peroxide since it's helped the most, but i still had a lot of irritation.

saw someone on reddit recommend hocl (Hypochlorous acid) as a spray that can be used on your face...really as much as you want. i've been using it after taking off my mask and in the morning/before bed after washing my face and HOLY SHIT... like acne, completely gone. literally worked under 8 hours. my face has been the clearest it's been in years. insane to me that literally i just need to use a gentle disinfectant a few times a day and it's like magic.

so if anyone has stubborn acne, especially if you're masking often, i HIGHLY recommend you try this. i feel kinda goofy misting my face like a diva midday, but if it works, it works!

feel really fortunate that i got to go to a respirator required kink performance event at a lesbian bar last night (all queers are welcome and it's trans inclusive). and i was also happy that it was a dry night even though my partner was hoping to get a cocktail. tons of fun, and i was blown away by a live rope demonstration that topped off the night. the couple was so tender and trusting with each other 🥺 it was very sweet to watch and impressive. (and they had a catholic fetish spin on it, which thrilled my priestfucker partner lol)

in fact, this bar always requires respirators, which i am so happy to know about. its kinda far from us, but we can easily make it for events like this that they host. im disappointed to know that these kinds of disability focused spaces are so rare and wish there were more casual spaces for people to gather and meet in a lower risk way. it was so beautiful to see so much community care in one building. they even have an elevator to make sure people in wheelchairs or that can't do stairs can get in
