Our (most likely) last product launch in 2025: the XMG APEX 17.The 17.3-inch laptop is based on the same chassis as the XMG FOCUS 17, but uses a Ryzen 9 9955HX and an RTX 5060 (a version with an RTX 5070 will follow in the first quarter of 2026). WQHD display (2560 x 1440 px) in 16:19 format with 100% DCI-P3 and sRGB color space coverage, as well as 240 Hz, up to 128 GB RAM, and two M.2 SSDs.

The XMG CORE 16 VE (Value Edition) adds an affordable entry-level model to our CORE series - with an AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 and GeForce RTX 5060. The aluminum chassis is identical to that of the regular CORE 16 – apart from the CPU and the focus on just one GPU, the differences lie in an 80 Wh battery instead of 99 Wh and a 1600p display with 500 nits, 180hz and 100% sRGB.

Nachdem wir dem Kind #Bazzite auf dem alten #XMG P707 installiert haben, hat @lizzard das Ding auch noch aufgeschraubt und gereinigt. Dabei ist uns klar geworden, dass unter der Haube auch noch 2 (!) freie SATA Ports und insgesamt 4 RAM Bänke (2 davon leer) sind. Was für ein Monster!
Nachdem alter RAM kaum noch was kostet, habe ich die Bänke jetzt besetzt und das Ding für 40€ auf 32GB Arbeitsspeicher gehoben.
Möge es noch viele Jahre Freude spenden! #LinuxGaming

There are currently still a few minor problems with the new Windows 11 24H2, which should be solved via updates. Until then, we are still installing Windows 11 23H2 on XMG laptops and desktop PCs (it is possible to manually trigger the update to 24H2 at any time if desired).
