A quick update that after trying a few things and them not working out so well, I decided to just manually copy over each Xanga post into Day One. (Over 300 done with many to go!) It's been quite amusing so far! Oh, the things a 20-25 year old college guy posted about in the early 2000’s… 😜

Came across the backup I made of my old Xanga site. Wowwww there’s so much to dig through! Currently checking to see if there’s a way to import the posts into Day One. If not, I may end up needing to do it by hand. It’d be great to have all of these memories in a modern app!

I was on #Xanga, which died. Evolved into something else, and lost everything fun about it—migrated to Blogger, where I still am—and it existed for a bit longer, but yeah, ’twas functionally dead.
I was on #MySpace. Same deal.
Google+. Same deal.
Twitter. Watching it melt down now.
Facebook and Instagram are next, as is TikTok. And maybe someday, Mastodon.
All things must pass. Be good to one another while it’s here.
