I have to say that book 3 is sucking a lot less already. I might actually start enjoying the writing if I'm not careful 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #wheeloftime #ivoted

That’s a wrap on book twelve and holy crap!
I had some reservations at first about the obviously necessary change of authors. At first the stories felt a little stilted and the world and characters felt a little bit flat and empty, but I’ve appreciated the pace of the story picking up. Things are starting to actually happen and some stories are starting to reach their conclusions.
Very excited to see where it all ends up from here. 🤙

20 chapters into Gathering Storm and the change in writing style has been obvious but not egregious. For the most part.
Chapter 20 was the first following Mat. I’d heard that his character was particularly poorly done, but yeesh. This Mat feels like a caricature of a previously complex character who I had come to really like.
Still better than the alternative, but big oof. Let’s see if it gets any better.

Knife of Dreams is a wrap! Now I’ll be moving into Sanderson’s ending trilogy. Curious to see how different it may or may not be.

Book ten complete! On to Knife of Dreams. But not this evening, haha. Those prologues, tho… 🤦♂️

@[email protected] Maybe more of a conspiracy theory.
For The Wheel of Time, Robert Jordan planned to have Rand kill the Dark One, trying to save the world for all time, only for Padan Fain to grow to take the Dark One's place. Brandon Sanderson finished the series and changed that to better adhere to his version of Christian beliefs.

If Aes Sedai can’t actively lie how to do they get along traveling with all these aliases? I suppose those that have warders could put the name out there and then they simply never correct them. But what about those with no warders? #WheelOfTime #fiction #fantasy -

Wheel of Time book seven complete! Now on to Path of Daggers. But not tonight.
I’m very quickly approaching all new material because I believe I was partway thru eight when I stopped reading before.

If you haven’t read The Wheel of Time then this may not make sense to you. However having read WoT is no guarantee that it *will* make any sense to you.

I’m still salty that the show got canceled. 😡
But funnily enough, on the spur of the moment, I rewatched this absolutely magnificent episode yesterday and it turned out that it was exactly a year ago that I first saw the same episode.

CW: Wheel of Time (no spoilers), Reading
I’m nearing the last 20% or so of Book 5, and there are so many loose ends. I’ve really loved these books but the story seems so all over the place. I don’t plan on stopping, but editing would’ve been helpful.

Just started with the Eye of the World. Many people complain that it's too similar to Lord of the Rings.
That's not a problem for me, I haven't read Lord of the Rings either!!
I've tried to start reading this series before, two years ago when my low reading comprehension allowed me to read only easier books. I had to put it down because it was too slow paced and difficult for me then.
I've warmed up to slower pace since then, and my vocabulary is considerably better.
