I'm having a great time with my resin printed #Eldar, sculpted by independent artists outside the Games Corporation. Infinitely cheaper, more cute and strangely satisfying to paint.

In the current economic crisis scenario I think it's specially on these "trademark days" when we should reflect on our hyper-consumer behaviour and the sustainability of it all.

I have settled on the frame (for now at least!) and started building.

The awning will be painted as a red and white striped sail.

I am going to add more detail, like broken timbers and discarded gear.

Rejected ideas for the mini display board:

The Cleavermaw has been WIP over 2 years, so finishing it is a very attactive idea. But feels unlikely in the time available.

The shipwreck Rogue Idol is already finished, so that would be the easy option.

The 160mm base felt like a good plan, but it doesn't leave much room for scenery with a 40mm based warband!

All of these feel too cramped and over-full.

Just finished painting these 60 mm plastic miniatures with army painter speed paints. I actually know nothing of the origin of these figures. They are labeled 'marching GI's' and seem to be a Chinese copy of some old toy soldiers from the 60's. I now have a pirate-orruk themed box to carry my Warcry gaming accessories like tokens, Battleplan cards, dice, combat gauge, etc.

I have been using this old pine jewellery box to store and transport this stuff for a few months now, but this week I decided to upgrade it a bit!

I'm doing the #Warcry Rumble at #WarhammerFest next year: 4-game Matched Play. I'm expecting to face at least 2 monsters over the day... but I have no idea how I'll deal with them as I have never played against one 😅

I've only ever played long running Narrative campaigns or very casual Matched.

In a move that will shock everyone, I bought some dice in Element's black friday sale. I got the Kill Team Phobos set, for 75% off.

They are piratey! How could I not? They also match my Orruk dice (that are actually from the KT Ork set).

So (at the moment) these are my #Warcry dice for the tournament at #WarhammerFest.
