I finally got around to making the patriotic antifa in script neon. Alas on the day I wanted to make it (to be ready for No Kings protests) I had to make a thing for Paypal... aiyaiyai, oh well.
This one was technically challenging- tight, 15mm tube script and I wanted to do each letter an different color too. I almost gave up and I'll admit, I could do better in a few spots.
I wanna make the rainbow design into a crackle tube. That one will be even more unforgiving with the colors changing and needing to be uniformly puffed out (but not too thin) for the crackle fill.

Making good progress on my 10mm Starship Troopers project for this upcoming #MillenniumCon here in central Texas this November. I wanted a high contrast with the reddish brown desert, and against the ochre, mint, and plum of the Arachnid forces I painted earlier this year.

There's a ton to love about these rules. They give a lot of opportunities for cool stuff to happen.
The 2d6 with advantage or disadvantage works incredibly well, and is easy to quickly paint a picture of the success of a given task.
The setting is evocative and intruiging, and the models are ripe for kitbashing opportunities.
This really does fill the void that I've wanted systems like Turnip28 or The Silver Bayonet to fill! Solid game.

They'd take pot shots at the surging Heretic troopers, but to no avail.
Their troops weren't going to stop the Heretics, and that's game.

To which she dropped an infernal bomb on their head, scattering their limp, but still alive body down the trench ways.
The one remaining Heretic Trooper left in their deployment zone had been caught in dangerous terrain for the past few turns. The barbed wire slowly doing its thing to the poor trooper.

I played a game of Starship Troopers (Mongoose, 2005) with a friend yesterday rescaled to 10/15mm (bugs 10, 'MI' 15). It mostly went well. I think I undergunned the MI, there were some hot critical rolls, and ultimately I deployed my flanking element poorly. But he also exploited my weaknesses well, so it was a well earned victory. My fleece desert cloth with landforms underneath looks awful in photos but I really do like how it plays in person. #wargaming #miniatures #wargames #15mm #10mm
