  6. There is also the option of getting just the PCB for 14,04€, If you already have all the components at home, or if you'd rather source your own components.

The PCB is labeled in a way to make it easy to know what you need, and
there is a Bill of Materials available on the git repository. The schematic is also available online!

It can run MSBASIC, and can output over RS232 serial at 19200 baud, as well as to the 6x2 LCD module.

    And of course,
it can play bad apple. It is also binary compatible with every piece of software written for Ben Eater's 6502-based breadboard computer, no porting or recompilation required.

  11. Fuck yeah, finally!

May I present to you: Bad Apple, the (almost) complete Music Video, rendered as Outlines in 30x20 characters in glorious 1.86 FPS by a 6502 CPU running at 1MHz, outputting over RS232 serial at 19.200 Baud.

Rendering Code and the Video sitting in 32 kilobytes of ROM.

If you bought the 6502 breadboard computer kit from Ben Eater's website, you can do this on there too.

The Olimex Neo6502pc is a modern mini computer designed to run some very old software. At its heart is a single-board computer that features a 6.25 MHz W65C02 processor that’s similar to the 6502 chip used in classic PCs and game consoles like the Atari 2600 and Apple II, which makes it possible to run emulators for those devices on this […]

  19. Three #W65C02 to 6502 adapters. The top two use buffers on control and data lines (one uses ACT, the other HCT).
The last one, the newer, uses nothing and just adapts the pinout and adds a pullup.
Should have some time to test them on a real #VIC20 relatively soon.

  24. Given the positive experience with the 386 #adapter, why not leverage the same process for something slightly different?

TheByteAttic designed a #W65C02 -> 6502 adapter that buffers the data bus with an 'HCT245, this is a variant of the same design (with another '245 for inbound control lines too), but, instead of having the transceivers on the side, it uses #SMD pins to occupy the exact same space as an original 6502, allowing a #QFP CPU to sit on top of the adapter.

I'd like to use for repairs on #VIC20 units.

So I can do the Shatner. All day long.

    Over and over.
