The £1.50 price rise each year will be arguably more expensive for users on cheaper contracts. My original #VirginMobile plan in August 2018 was 2GB for £5 and #VMO2 charges a price rise of 3.9%+RPI which is more expensive than other operators. In that time, I have not switched contracts and my bill is now £7.38 for unlimited when the #O2 app eventually updates it. That's less than £2.50 in a 5 year period. Absolute scam imo.

Apparently it's VMO2's fibre AND HFC (hybrid fibre coax) networks. Are they planning to sell some part of the business? I'm not sure who would want all the legacy coax.

Confusing - VMO2's parent companies already have a joint venture to create a fibre network with VMO2 as the anchor tenant, now VMO2 have spun off their fibre network.

#VirginMedia / #VMO2 emailed me to offer me an exclusive chance to pay £6 more per month for cable broadband. Given how much they involuntarily raised my bills by earlier in the year, no way, especially as it doesn't protect you from next year's rate rise.
In return, they would increase my broadband speed.
I am waiting until I have a 5G phone and a 5G router, then I will cut the cord.
