Impressed by the results of the survey from Coimisiún na Meán on data access under #DSA Article 40(4): 103 researchers are planning 602 applications in total, with 448 data access requests planned within the first 6 months of applications opening, out of which 317 relating to #VLOPs/VLOSEs established in Ireland.
Obviously, “TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X were the most common VLOP/VLOSEs that researchers were planning to request data from”.

3. Użytkownicy i użytkowniczki z Polski powinni móc skutecznie i łatwo składać skargi na naruszenie DSA przez usługodawców internetowych, w tym na usługodawców zarejestrowanych za granicą. Np. na największe platformy (#VLOPs) i wyszukiwarki internetowe (#VLOSEs).

xVideos przyznaje się do 160 mln userów i userek w UE miesięcznie.W TOP 50. najczęściej odwiedzanych stron w sieci pornograficzne zajmują 6 pozycji - między portalami takimi jak Facebook, TikTok czy LinkedIn.

A co to oznacza?

To oznacza, że są VLOP-ami i Komisja Europejska powinna je wpisać na listę VLOP-ów, obok Facebooka, TikToka i reszty.

Kiedy to się stanie, będą musiały poddać się obowiązkom nakładanym na #VLOPs przez #DSA. Np. oznaczać deepfake'i i wprowadzić moderację na serio.

Today the French #DSC announced a cooperation agreement with the European Commission :europe: @EC_DIGIT

Essential mistake in the Polish official translation of the article 27 #DSA:
1. Providers of *online platforms* that use recommender systems shall set out in their terms and conditions, in plain and intelligible language, the main parameters used in their recommender systems, as well as any options for the recipients of the service to modify or influence those main parameters.

Polish translation narrows this article to #VLOPs only.

@1br0wn let me correct you as you are confused. Both #DSA #DMA affect #SMEs (with softer requirements than the big platforms). The difference is that the supervision of #VLOPS and #VLOSE will be a competence of the Commission, while #SME platforms will be supervised by Member States. On top of that, #DMA is precisely designed to allow for a level playing field between gatekeepers and #SMEs.
