RT by @EU_MARE: Today in Brussels, the 🇪🇺European Union and the 🇺🇳United Nation’s @FAO held a Strategic Dialogue 🤝 to plan and prioritise our common work in the coming months, to strengthen normative and knowledge cooperation on sustainable agrifood systems, sustainable fisheries and a sustainable bioeconomy and to scale up impactful EU Global Gateway projects in partnership with FAO. We also discussed how FAO can best support the #UN80 process, improve cooperation and synergies with @WFP and @IFAD and advance with FAO’s own review process. FAO’s support activities in fragile settings got a lot of attention. Thanks a lot to @BethBechdol, @maumartina, @MaximoTorero and their teams, to @KoenDoens and all Commission services involved @EU_Partnerships @aid_eu @EUAgri @EU_ENV @EU_Health @EU_MARE @EUScienceInnov @EU_JRC and to the @eu_eeas @BilleHermann for an encouraging day for multilateralism. The European Union will continue to be a reliable and predictable partner of the United Nations in general and @FAO, @WFP and @IFAD in particular, while ensuring that our values and interests will be taken well into account in our future cooperation.
