Ich bin gespannt, ob ich von den Betreibern von mastodon.social überhaupt außerhalb einer automatisch generierten Email irgend eine Antwort bekomme.

Gegenwärtig schmelzen die "Vorteile" des #fediverse im direkten Vergleich zu kommerziellen Betreibern von Social Media-Diensten jedenfalls gehörig zusammen. Und das meines Erachtens nach durch eigenes Verschulden und der Unfähigkeit, es besser machen zu wollen.

#Mastodon hat vom Zusammenbruch #twitters massiv profitiert. Das war es aber auch ...

#Twitters war against #Substack, part III: #ElonMusk announced a "new feature” which enables Blue subscribers to create posts up to 10,000 characters in length (up from 4k characters). Obviously to battle “a rival newsletter service”. Additionally, Twitter has incorporated support for bold and italic text formatting and introduced monetization for content creators - w/o any revenue for Twitter in the next 12 months. Competition stimulates business..

@Waldlaeuferin ich habe es endgültig gelöscht. Ich war nur noch ab und zu dort wegen ein paar lieben Leuten. Aber hier gibt es genauso viel tolles zu entdecken. Und als bonus tut es einfach gut hier. #Twitters einziger Zweck ist nur noch negative Aufmerksamkeit und Aufregung. Mein Blutdruck ist seitdem sehr viel besser 😏

Teile von #Twitters originalem #Quellcode wurden laut von Twitter vergangenen Freitag bei Gericht eingereichten Unterlagen auf GitHub veröffentlicht und waren dort öffentlich einsehbar. Wie lange, das weiß man nicht.
GitHub hat den entsprechenden Account nach einer copyright infringement notice gesperrt.

The story about #LLY stock plummeting shouldn't be about #twitters verification issues. Nor should it be entirely about the cost of insulin in the #USA. Rather it should be about the #US stock market being so unstable that a fake news announcement can cause billions of "wealth" loss almost instantly, with zero checks in place.
