The story about #LLY stock plummeting shouldn't be about #twitters verification issues. Nor should it be entirely about the cost of insulin in the #USA. Rather it should be about the #US stock market being so unstable that a fake news announcement can cause billions of "wealth" loss almost instantly, with zero checks in place.

@peter it had a real loss in after-hours trading Thursday. Hours after the fake tweet. I see no sign that the drop was related to the tweet. Given the time of day it was almost certainly because of a press release/earnings statement, probably by an #LLY competitor or JV partner. People just want to make themselves feel good by gloating at this, as if they had anything to do with it (probably not) and as if it matters (it doesn't).
