I was at #twitchCon today and took my iPhone as my phone. Mostly because the train rides there and back are long and the iPhone has more games.
Having used Android primarily for years I rather like iOS still, but good god is Apple Wallet annoying.
On Android, I have a fingerprint reader. If I need to pay something, I unlock my phone with my hand, and when it gets to be time to pay, I hover it over the payment terminal and we're done.
on iOS:- Press unlock button.
- Hold phone in front of face for face ID
- Press lock button twice.
- Hold phone in front of face again for face ID>
- Hold phone still over reader. Sometimes this works, sometimes the slightest movement throws it off. Sometimes, it decides I'm a thief and forces me to enter my pass code, particularly in loud, busy environments with a line queueing up behind me where I can barely hear my phone.Is this REALLY the intended behavior?

2025 is slowly coming to an end. It is time to look back at what happened on #Twitch: a year with many charity streams and so many donations (thank you so much!), #Twitchcon, the Open Mic Afterparty and the IRL Music #Streamer Showcase happening, but also me keeping my #music alive only by live-streaming from my studio. Had a super fun time at Twitchcon this past weekend! It's always tough traveling across the country, but it's been super worth it every time. I got to see some friends and meet a ton of cool artists.

And screw it, I'm gonna say it.
People like the [redacted] at #TwitchCon are the ones who created the need to behave like that...
They won't donate (to female streamers) if it doesn't happen, if she doesn't perform her act on camera.
(Which is one reason i was angered by the "its not technically nudity teehee" streamers, as i feel they worsened the situation significantly)
And this situation with this (alleged) stalker, is the main reason i react knee jerky to people trying to doxx me

And no its not "just an excited fan" I was told this fucker is supposedly a stalker...
And when a stalker can get that close to someone, its an abhorent faliure of security and IMO the entire convention...

I was made aware of the absolute security failure on #TwitchCon
IF you are not aware,
During a ticketed meet and greet(TMG) a man managed to get past the barely there security, got on stage and SA'ed the streamer Emiru.
As some one who works on cons, this also pisses me off.
Gropey scary dudes are a problem at Cons, and that is what security is for, seeing the vid it seems the TMG was in the main area, So there should be way more Security present.

I watched several videos of the incident; the bro was a good head taller than the Twitch "security" personnel who intercepted him, well across the crowd control tape and out on the stage
He made it all the way up to her, grabbed her around her waist, and "hugged" her
It was said he drew a knife; he did reach back and pull something out of his right rear pocket
This very same female streamer had been attacked last year and Twitch had banned her own private security detail from 2025 TwitchCon
The bro was released out onto the street with no further action
