Here’s your guide to the best events happening on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
All-Day Highlights
Bank of America customers can enjoy free admission at the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh as part of the Museums on Us program. In Raleigh, the Pope House Museum offers guided history walks through the Third Ward for $5–10, providing an African American Walking Tour experience. Celebrations continue at Ponysaurus Brewing Co. in Raleigh with Oktoberfest festivities. Additionally, Duke University Chapel in Durham hosts a Día de los Muertos Ofrenda, featuring a cultural altar.
Morning Fun
The Cars and Coffee Morrisville event is a classic car meet-up at the Imperial Center in Durham from 8am to 11am. In Chapel Hill, you can visit the Cow Sanctuary to meet rescued cows between 8am and 12pm. The Durham Craft Market offers a chance to shop local at Durham Central Park from 8am to 12pm. The Youth Aviation Academy will be held at Chavis Memorial Park in Raleigh from 10am to 12:30pm. Meanwhile, the Wings Over Springs Airshow will feature drone races at Bass Lake Park from 10am to 2pm. The Celebrate Fuquay-Varina Festival promises food, music, and family fun from 10am to 4pm. A one-day charity sale called Baubles & Bags will take place at the A-Z Thrift Shop from 10am to 4pm. In Chapel Hill, the Calico Makers Fall Market will offer handmade art from 10am to 5pm. The Pottery & Glass Festival will be held at Cedar Creek Gallery in Creedmoor from 10am to 6pm. Afternoon & Evening Entertainment
The day offers a variety of events across different locations. At Blackwood Farm Park, the Picnic with Pride takes place from 12pm to 3pm, while the Triangle Oktoberfest is held at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary from 12pm to 8pm. Downtown Raleigh hosts the Raleigh Wide Open Music Festival from 12pm to 11pm, and Bottle Theory’s Oktoberfest occurs in Apex during the same hours. Lake Benson Park in Garner features Kids in Nature Day from 1pm to 4pm, coinciding with the National Cinnamon Roll Day promo at Cinnabon, where $1 rolls are available from 1pm to 4pm. The Irish Music Jam at Moon Dog Meadery in Durham runs from 3pm to 5pm, while live music by Proton Jones can be enjoyed at Gizmo Brew Works in Raleigh from 5pm to 8pm. Music on Main takes place at The Streets at Southpoint from 5pm to 8pm, and the Durham Twilight Market is held at the Golden Belt Campus from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. Music in the Garden at Durham Beer Garden starts at 6pm, and the Spirits of Wake Forest ghost walks are available from 6:30pm to 9:30pm for $20.
