  6. @JuliusGoat it's the #StockholmSyndrome & #TraumaBonding.

i study crim/psy & i am discovering through my own experiences that capitalism & hierarchy in society are fundamentally narcissistic & drive toxic behaviour in ppl. men have been conditioned to suppress their emotions which causes all sorts of toxic behaviour to themselves & others & the same for women.
most ppl become traumatised one way or another & toxic behaviour gets passed down the generations.
    we all need rehabilitation.

  8. Missing your ex even though they hurt you?
That’s not craziness — that’s your brain going through withdrawal.
Sometimes you don’t miss them, you miss the way they made you feel.

  9. Breakups can feel physically painful because your brain is losing dopamine, not just a person.

It can mimic withdrawal symptoms — restlessness, craving contact, emotional spirals.
    This is biology, not failure.

  10. If someone stays in an abusive relationship, it’s not because they’re weak —
it’s because the abuser made leaving terrifying, impossible, or deadly.

💬 Survivors need support, not shame.

  11. Die Rolle der Trauma-Bindung in Beziehungen zwischen Menschen mit Borderline-Muster und narzisstischen Mustern

  12. This movie I’m watching, Death of a Vlogger, I’m really liking it so far. It’s an interesting twist on #FoundFootage in that it’s in documentary form with interviews. It’s a fairly insightful commentary on social media.

There’s a “social physiologist” on screen now with the best explanation for trauma bonding I’ve ever seen: When your phone buzzes, you get a little hit of dopamine when you see a like. So you come to crave your phone buzzing. Then imagine if over time, that experience becomes painful, negative. You still crave the dopamine hit, but it comes with pain.

I’m relating to that so hard, not just social media (Twitter especially), but also my experience with my abuser. Love bombing creates the attachment, which later becomes painful, but damn it’s a hell of a drug. #horror #AbuseCulture #TraumaBonding
