  1. ‘Terror em Shelby Oaks’ estreia no Halloween

    A Diamond Films, conhecida pelo seu extenso catálogo de filmes de terror, tem uma estreia imperdível para os fãs do gênero neste Halloween. A distribuidora acaba de revelar o trailer do aguardado Terror em Shelby Oaks, longa do diretor e roteirista Chris Stuckmann que chegará aos cinemas de todo o país em 30 de outubro, na véspera do tradicional ‘Dia das Bruxas’.

    A trama se concentra na busca desesperada de Mia (Camille Sullivan) por sua irmã Riley (Sarah Durn), uma youtuber famosa que há anos está desaparecida, sem nenhuma pista sobre seu paradeiro. O cenário muda quando Mia recebe uma misteriosa fita com possíveis indícios de que Riley pode estar viva. É, então, que a protagonista mergulha em uma investigação intensa e sufocante, que a colocará no centro de uma verdadeira espiral de horror, repleta de revelações perturbadoras.

    Conhecido por seu trabalho como crítico de cinema, Stuckmann faz sua estreia como cineasta no gênero do qual é declaradamente fã. Não à toa, ele une o suspense crescente da investigação com a estética do found footage, fazendo de Terror em Shelby Oaks uma narrativa imersiva e potente, que coloca o espectador para sentir na pele a realidade arrepiante da sua protagonista.

    Trata-se, portanto, de um filme feito por e para fãs de terror, sobretudo considerando que Mike Flanagan (“Ouija”, “A Maldição da Residência Hill”) assina a produção executiva do título.

    Com distribuição da Diamond Films, a maior distribuidora independente da América Latina, Terror em Shelby Oaks estreia nacionalmente em 30 de outubro.

  2. This movie I’m watching, Death of a Vlogger, I’m really liking it so far. It’s an interesting twist on #FoundFootage in that it’s in documentary form with interviews. It’s a fairly insightful commentary on social media.

    There’s a “social physiologist” on screen now with the best explanation for trauma bonding I’ve ever seen: When your phone buzzes, you get a little hit of dopamine when you see a like. So you come to crave your phone buzzing. Then imagine if over time, that experience becomes painful, negative. You still crave the dopamine hit, but it comes with pain.

    I’m relating to that so hard, not just social media (Twitter especially), but also my experience with my abuser. Love bombing creates the attachment, which later becomes painful, but damn it’s a hell of a drug. #horror #AbuseCulture #TraumaBonding
