  1. I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you - Nobody - too?
Then there's a pair of us!
Dont tell! they'd banish us - you know!

How dreary - to be - Somebody!
    How public - like a Frog -
To tell your name - the livelong June -
    To an admiring Bog!

    --Emily Dickinson

  2. Just a human voice,
    so beautiful, so ugly.
    While they bellow, sing!

Inspired by all of the wonderful poets and musicians around the world who are using their beautiful voices in support of the Palestinian people.

  3. The earth trembles as
    feet strike, marching.Those who stand
    still must bear witness!

    * I am not an activist. In fact, for the last several months I've found myself in a state of paralysis. Thank you to those who have been able to move, make angry, beautiful noise, and inspire.

  4. All is dulled to dust.
    Particles dance in the winds
    as we shield our eyes.

(I promise that the next Haiku I share will be more hopeful.)

  5. Stuck in bed feeling not-too-great, and I'm happy for the slice of sky I can see from my room.

    Thanks to this window,
I can watch the birds fly by
    from my lonely nest.

  6. We are still with you.
We came up for air. Deep breath!
    We are still with you!

  7. CW: CW - Sweary Haiku

A little existential poem. Haiku poems don't have titles, but I've decided that this one does.

    *Looking Around*

    What the f*ck? What the
    f*ck? What the f*ck? What the f*ck?

  8. A day-2-of-recording Haiku.

    The singer's question:
    will my voice cooperate
    when my mouth opens?

(Recording gorgeous music for three female voices written by @sivemusic and we are having a blast!)

  9. I try to write a Haiku a day, as I love word games & I love writing.
Today, I took a notion & wrote a very simple one in the Irish language (Gaeilge) of which I have a very poor grasp, despite learning it in both primary & secondary school.
It's such a beautiful language, which I'll push on through & learn properly some day I hope!

    Bhí brónach orm.
    Chuala mé éin ag canadh,
    agus théadh mo chroí.

    Translation:
    I was sad.
    I heard birds singing,
    and my heart warmed

  10. Post-Christmas coffee shop Haiku.

    Eight solo tables.
    Nobody here looks lonely.
    It's our chance to breathe!

  11. We speak the same tongue,
    yet without love's translation
    all meaning is lost.

  12. It's a day for a Haiku and a walk.

    Today I will walk
a path smooth and straight, as if
    all is well on Earth.

  13. Gratitude: thankful
that I can wallow and mope.
    Gratefulness can wait!

A cheeky little take on gratitude journalling. Sunday...my favourite day for a good wallow!

  14. A Ringing in My Ear

The truth has to be worth something.
We cannot abandon it in the hope that it finds its own way while we are busy battling the lie.
We must pause and, with a coded smile, take the time to celebrate the truth.
