  1. Another level made - although having decided to shuffle some levels into the next zone for Reasons, I'm down to 31 levels done out of 36 for this zone.

    I'm faintly worried this one might be a bit too easy, but if so I'll move it to an earlier point in the zone. Of nothing else, once I'm done with this zone, I need to go through all the levels in it to check there's a vaguely sane difficulty progression anyway.

  4. Floor proximity sensors can now be placed in levels - this is a really simple test level to show one working.

    It still needs some UI work doing so that the level designer can choose the signal it emits, and its initial state, but it seems to work pretty well.

    Next up is more levels, and then zone selection rears its slightly terrifying head...

  5. Itch page updated, new gameplay video added to it, and most importantly: a new version of the game!

    This update has a lot of changes, with the really big one being the in-game level editor.

    On top of this, all the features that were in the Unity version are now in this version - plus a bunch of improvements and new features!

  6. I dropped the three-star scoring mechanic. You are now awarded a rosette for completing a level, and can hunt for the buried bone as a secondary goal. #Pico8 #GameDev #PuzzleGame #ThinkyGame

  7. Undo/redo working. This makes the game much more enjoyable. The player does not need to restart the entire level if they make a mistake.

    You can also see some of the bonus mechanics in play. The dogs can pick up a ball and find a buried bone before sniffing butts to fully complete each level.

  8. Yet ANOTHER title screen with parallax animation from Puzzle Spy International. This one will be for the stand-alone demo mission that takes place in London. We're currently working on that so that we can share something playable from the game with folks sooner.

  10. Sprites for Agent Epsilon from my WIP '60s puzzle game Puzzle Spy International. I now have all I need - UI, sprites, background, dialogue - to assemble the first chapter in Ren'Py... well, everything except for Ren'Py experience. Wish me luck! 😅
