Finished reading „The Lost Cause“ by @pluralistic
Excellent read and as usual quite on top of the current problems—climate change in this case.

Ich habe #thelostcause von @pluralistic durch und das Buch hat mich wirklich beeindruckt. Eine vermutlich sehr realitätsnahe Zeichnung unserer nahen Zukunft mit dem Kampf gegen die Klimakrise und die MAGA-Trottln. landet auf Platz 2 meiner ewigen Doctorow-Bestenliste nach #walkaway. Obwohl das Ende ein ziemlicher Gut Punch war, würde ich mich sehr freuen, in einem späteren Buch mehr von Brooks zu lesen.

I'm reading @pluralistic's new book The Lost Cause, and among the things I'm loving about it is the future slang. For example, we definitely need to start referring to the 1% as plutes (short for plutocrats).

I just finished the #novel #TheLostCause by #CoryDoctorow @pluralistic
The novel was captivating as I got the #drmfree ebook and #audiobook two nights ago.
I am left very hopeful, in the sense that " #Hope [...] is the belief that what we do matters.", and that's a point that the tale really does drive home.
We need to stand up together and act now for a chance to mitigate its backdrop of a mid-century #ClimateEmergency, but also #solidarity is what might make it bearable.

We have 5 days before the premiere of #coryDoctorow 's #theLostCause book and there are some early reviews from GoodReads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5693957427
This one doesn't spoil much, but lets us set the expectations. TLC is closer to "The Little Brother" than "The Walkaway", with Cory's usual style.
Can't wait to read it in a few days, I'll need a bleach after finishing The Ministry For The Future.
