The Double Cross
2026 Canada Ltd. Edition reissueMY favorite album by my good friends Sloan.
It’s rare that I think a band’s best album comes this late in their career, but in the case of The Double Cross, it’s true.
I love and adore every single song in this album. It’s pure perfect #powerpop front to back, and I’m especially fond of “Unkind”; a song SO perfect, that I think if it came out in the #80s , it would have been inescapable and massive.
As a side note, you’d be hard pressed to find better dudes, too.
Especially Chris Murphy.The most humble and laid back of all pop architects.
Such a great album.
