Yuuma K. is supervising writing the very last flash drives for the very last shipment of #strategiesagainstalgorithms
To be quite honest with you, it feels very strange to pull the plug on what has arguably become my most successful #music project since working under the moniker of "Schall und Stille".
But that’s just the way it has to be. I’d like to thank you all once again for giving me the newfound confidence to look forward to what my creative future will hold.

One of the things that really surprised me during #strategiesagainstalgorithms is that many people no longer know what to do with a flash drive full of MP3 (and OGG, and FLAC) files.
7 people out of 85 had trouble transferring the files to their iPhone or Android phone, and I know of two who didn’t take part at all because of this.
I find this very worrying, as it shows that people are increasingly allowing themselves to be rendered technologically powerless, (…)

Received a mail today that moved me deeply.
It seems that my little project is the reason that somebody out there has picked up #music again … after having given up because of negative feedback from a label and the advent of "#AI" completely robbing them of the joy of making music.
They heard about #strategiesagainstalgorithms from a friend and it inspired them to send me a (really good!) new track…
Don't know what to say… just… stunned ❤️🥹

(Just kidding. Everything’s fine, and it’s a nice problem to have. But for the very first time in my life, I’d be perfectly happy to ship fewer than 100 albums…)

p.s: To those sending in their contributions now… please be patient. I'll wait until after the deadline before ordering the last batch of drives & booklets, because at the rate things are going at the moment, it's hard to estimate how many I'll need.

Ich kriege gerade (vergleichsweise) irrsinnig Aufmerksamkeit weil ich (vergleichsweise) gute Werbung gemacht habe. War natürlich nicht die Intention, läuft aber trotzdem so.
Ich bleibe dabei, es müsste eine Plattform geben, wo Kreative sich finden können, ohne den Bullshit drumrum.

Ja, es wird uns von allen Seiten schwer gemacht, wir werden nicht ermutigt, wir werden in Formen gepresst und wenn wir nicht reinpassen, dann denken wir "ach, ich kann's halt nicht".
Aber redet euch keinen Bullshit ein. Jede:r ist kreativ.

Last week we were shocked to learn that a fire has devastated the cabin in which we spent so many precious moments with Buba… literally since the very beginning of our life with her.
The fire has rendered the cabin uninhabitable and it's highly unlikely that it can be saved. 😔
It’s so strange to realize that the cabin died at around the same time as Buba left us … and that I’ll never record there again.
I'll never forget the good times we had there.
