I'll bet I might be the only person in my #Mastodon orbit that has a professional #stiltwalker in the fam.
From her Flamebouyant Productions FB feed, this is my DIL performing a few days ago at the #Oregon Country Fair.
She walked thru the show while it was packed with people, and second shot (blurry, sorry) is of my granddaughter (red circle) who was tasked with clearing the way. She use a pump sprayer with water to get people's attention so they'd move.

Dave Greenwood, Stilt Walker
This was taken in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, in about 1979 at the Aldeburgh Carnival. Dave was using his not inconsiderable skills as a stilt walker for this parade, to raise funds for the events. He and I were part of the Performing Folk Group Magic Lantern, based at the time in nearby #Leiston.

The shame of confidently mis-identifying one of your own kids in a picture. While they are twins I never have an issue in person but apparently a picture of one in a costume is enough to throw me off.
