I used to spend several days and nights every week going to #EdinburghFringe shows. Nowadays my time is more limited, sadly.
But yesterday after work I watched a dude excitedly explain giant squid in a dark room to an electronic beat while making whale noises on a theremin for an hour, and I have 0 regrets.

Okay, so I've seen Rent the other day, first time seeing a stage production. Performed by Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group, it was quite good. I saw their preview and even with the first showing technical issues (as is common), it was phenomenal. The singing was great and so was the acting. Very powerful production.
Disclaimer: I know the director so I'm a little bit biased.
Also of the note: The venue doesn't have step-free access (more information in the link) and Rent has some heavy themes.
