  12. #edinburghfringe review: Stamptown

Personally I think the new Netflix special is good but didn't capture the magic of the live Stamptown show, the banging music, manic ineffectual stagehands, recurring comedic bits, breathtaking and unusual circus acts, etc. And the speeded up video editing was annoying more than stupid-funny. No need to recreate Benny Hill, bruh.

So I'm pleased to report that the latest Stamptown show remains the greatest show - spectacle - event on earth. Recurring bits from a cheesy mentalist and Mr. Cardboard, a rare traditional comedian who killed, a stunningly skilled juggler and returning standouts such as the erotic fire dancer and the lady who juggles open umbrellas with her feet, upside down. Add in a heartfelt tribute to comedian-podcaster Stuart Goldsmith (who started as a street performer), playing the straight man here, and Jack Tucker at his best.

There's nothing like it, and nothing comes close. Go see #Stamptown any time you can.

  17. Oops! My evening show tonight is at THE Tailor, a charming cafe at 13 East Norton Road in Edinburgh.

My fliers unfortinately list a Tailor shop across town on Gorgie Road. Don't go there, they will be so confused!

    Thanks, Google Maps.
