Just caught Lucy's Dream at the Fringe, the Lucy from Dracula. Was an amazing piece of theatre. Almost no dialogue, all suggested by body language, choreography, some remarkable effects (beautiful stagecraft), light & shadows, and even life-like puppets interacting with the actors beautifully.
Darkly sensual , as a good Gothic piece should be. Recommended.

Gods help me I'm going to my first Edinburgh Fringe show of the season. As a local, here are my survival tips if you are going:
1. BRING LAYERS - Our weather is a fickle mistress plus you might end up at a show in a shipping container or an undercrypt or a spiegeltent or a pub backroom. You could be roasting or freezing your tits off, so bring options.
2. DO NOT ACCEPT LEAFLETS - It will be seen by promoters as a sign of weakness. You will be singled out for attack like a wounded gazelle.
3. EAT - as many vegan hotdogs as possible, especially if they have sauerkraut.
Oh and see some shows I guess?

Another day and a festival pick for the kids today. Leigh Milne here with a magic/conedy show and puppets, and lots of laughs with a little magic.
No thanks to Lothian Buses, who clearly need more Sunday drivers during August, as I recommend earlier for good seats in Frankenstein's.

Walking to my first (and possibly only) in this year's Fringe, I forgot that it takes 10 more minutes to walk anywhere when the Festival is on, even with both sides of North Bridge open.

Studio hang was fun. Bunch of folks came to make fairy bottles, the craft Audra had available for folks.
Book formatting is going well. Very smooth since I can work from what I set up last time.
Afterwards, we went down to Broadway to check out the street festival portion of the Fringe. Got to see lots of friends, so that was a delight. Ate a bunch of food that probably wasnโt ideal for me, though. ๐
Now I am very tired. Soon there will be sleeeeeep. ๐ด
