Furry Drone
I’ve only ever seen a flying squirrel once, in Kejimkujik Park in Nova Scotia. It was ‘flying’ around the campsite one night, moving so quickly it was hard to catch sight of where it was each time. This time it stopped to pick up something to eat before taking off again. They spread these flaps of skin between the front and back paws to glide between trees.Happy #SquirrelSaturday

Looking into You

This is not a great photo, but was a great occasion. After 15 months of being in the same house, this is the first time we've ever seen one of the other two cats share a bed with Zaz.
Badger (another Cornish Rex cat) is in the front, with Zaz looking surprised in the background. A real breakthrough.

Remembering Rupert

This was taken when Rupert was about 12 weeks old, or so. He has what looks like starter whiskers as his siblings had chewed them all off, I suppose.
We still miss him, it's great to look back on the old photos.

Dave Greenwood, Stilt Walker

This was taken in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, in about 1979 at the Aldeburgh Carnival. Dave was using his not inconsiderable skills as a stilt walker for this parade, to raise funds for the events. He and I were part of the Performing Folk Group Magic Lantern, based at the time in nearby #Leiston.

The Top of Crystal Falls

This seemed to be a long walk into the bush to get to this spot, until we realized we had approached by a back route. It was well worth it, as we were the only ones there. If you want to visit, it's above Kingston. We were told to ask directions in the Tim Hortons. That worked. Sort of.😂​

A spinning top, custom turned for a collector in the UK a couple of years ago. This one is African blackwood, thuya root burl with a tagua nut (vegetable ivory) finial. There is something so relaxing and satisfying about spinning a beautiful, nicely weighted spinning top.
