Another lifer from this week, this one from #CanveyIsland in #Essex on Tuesday. If I'd got there slightly later I'd have missed this and, with the flowers closed, would have assumed it was Goatsbeard. But the purple flowers mean it's the non-native relative, Salsify. Mandatory Fleabane photo. This one was #StillFlowering on Tuesday by a path at Hadleigh country park in #Essex. Its friend is one of its #PollinatorPals - a Brown Argus #butterfly. I've always struggled to find Sticky Groundsel but on Thursday when I went out in #Bristol to try to find plants #StillFlowering, there it was in a gravelly area near Temple Meads station. Result! #WildflowerHour #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography
