New episode of #lostNoise is out.
AKA I can't hide the fact that I've really gotten into Go over the past two years and it has seriously impacted how I think about things.

After a break for me to focus on some major work projects, we have a new episode of #LostNoise. This should dispel any more questions I occasionally get about that panel where Zel was putting on his boots in the Chieftess's tent.

New episode of Lost Noise is up.
This is 150th episode of #LostNoise (not counting canto introductions and other pages like that). It feels good to hit a nice mile marker like this. Thanks everyone for your time and support!

New page of #lostNoise is online.
This is a canto introduction page, where we seem to be going back up north with the Aldsen Tribes. I may no longer be in academia, but I can still write with the snarky passive-aggressiveness required in that field.

New episode of #lostNoise is up and this is the end of this particular canto.
This canto was so fun to write! Thank you for reading. #spritecomic #webcomic

New episode of #lostNoise is online!
People talk of killing time while time kills them, but together you can kill infinites upon infinites. Also, look at how cute Tsul is. She's a small thing, so be nice to her.

New episode of #lostNoise is online!
This page introduces Tsul, a companion of Ede's who was a lot of fun to design. It's been hard to sit on these two sprites for so long, but I'm happy to share them both in this canto.

New episode of #lostNoise
Early indications are positive about Ede's character design. Thank you so much for the feedback! It really does make my day.
-
Another #LostNoise update today since I had to storyboard these two pages at the same time to make sure they flowed.
Enjoy!

New episode of #LostNoise is online.
They say you shouldn't repeat a bit when writing or in comedy because it loses its charm over time, but this was just too good to pass up.

New episode of #lostNoise is online.
I'm so happy to finally be able to introduce the Our Lady Ede. Introductions are important, and I love to set up situations like this.

A new episode of #LostNoise is up. As requested by @imaria.bsky.social, I added something vaguely octopus shaped to the operatic wedding tableau to keep it in line with later depictions of these events that might have taken some historical liberties.

New episode of #lostNoise is online!
I had a hard time deciding how I wanted to present this page in particular, but I'm happy with the approach this is taking for our Operatic Couple here.

A new episode of Lost Noise is online. You might want to grab your flak jacket and some opera glasses for this one.

New episode of Lost Noise is online.
Does Zel have enough Paragon or Renegade points to avoid shooting Wrex? Isn't that actually a weird mechanism for a narrative driven game when you think about it? What does this have to do with a succession crisis? Find out here.

New episode of Lost Noise is online.
Hey, do you remember those troubling implications with Nyle and Lucian that we purposefully glossed over ten years ago? No. Well, let's circle back to them.

New Episode of Lost Noise is online.
I have so much fun making unique characters that will only be used for potentially one panel in the entire story. You can go hog wild with a few ideas.

New episode of Lost Noise is online!
Plus, I wrote a new blog post discussing the benefits of abstraction over the desire for photo-realistic graphics
-
The 100th story page of Lost Noise is now online! 🥳
I don't plan out the episodes to have significant stuff happen on round numbers, but number 100 is a banger. Go check it out.

Doing an #introduction post! 👋
I'm John Cutting (he/him), a writer, artist, veteran, and long-time lover of fantasy, science fiction, and RPGs.
✍️ I wrote two complete (and one in-progress) sprite comics all set in the same universe that are story-driven, epic fantasies rather than comedy-driven stories. If you enjoy the SNES RPGs from the Golden Age of Square Enix, then I think you will like my stories.
👻Fortuna Saga (https://fortunasaga.com/?webcomic2=canticle-2) involves an isolated nation suddenly encountering the outside world after generations of solitude.
⚔️Hymns of the Apostate (https://fortunasaga.com/?webcomic3=canticle-3) occurs some time after the Fortuna Saga in a world without magic that involves the intrigue between nations, faiths, and rediscovery of forgotten secrets.
✨Lost Noise (https://fortunasaga.com/?webcomic1=canticle-1) is a prequel to the previous stories. It is currently a work in-progress, but I'm excited about how this world will expand and comment on the themes of the previous two stories.
🎨 I write, paint with oils, photoshop, code, and make pixel art. For my job, I consult with companies to help them run more ethically, sustainably, and with a strong focus on people and society.
🍿 I love movies, role playing games, and world history. I lived in Japan for many years, and my partner and children are fluent Japanese speakers. So, you can also expect a lot of these perspectives as well.
Happy to meet you!
