  1. Early this morning, the last pull in at Potrero Division before this Muni yard closes for years for a major reconstruction and expansion project.

This facility has been in operation for 111 years. The end of an era!

  2. Wow. Measured by boardings, route 49 is the far-away winner for 2024, at the top of the list for most months.

I guess BRT (opened in 2022) is really paying off!

N Judah was top of the heap in 2019 before COVID threw a wrench into everything and still maintains a respectable 2nd place.

Given higher costs for tunnels and rail maintenance that's gotta be frustrating to see BRT take over the top spot from light rail.

  3. For all you #SFBA folks, has anyone had trouble transferring their virtual clipper cards to a new phone?

Luckily I still have one physical one for guests because both of my virtual ones are not working on new phone #clippercard #ACtransit #SFmuni

  4. I was let off at the new #sfmta #sfmuni light rail platform near Balboa Park station today which is not news. That has happened on and off for months. But now there are some signs about a grand opening. Apparently what makes this platform open for business is that it has a light now.

  5. I keep thinking that #sfmuni should look at how to reduce travel times on key routes. I first saw how the Chicago L had a skip-stop strategy ( an A and a B train that shared a stop every few stations) and how it reduced travel times. Now I read about #Superloop buses to reduce travel times, to great acclaim, it appears.

Can SF learn from these examples? It's essential to greater mode shift.
