Go to the 5 min mark of Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. The “chestnut brown canary” part. Stills sings the melody, Nash high harmony. Then Crosby adds a mysterious third harmony that makes it something no other 3 people on Earth can come close to reproducing. It’s one of pop music’s mighty peaks. You can hear them marveling at it while they’re doing it. That’s why the singalong do do do do do is so satisfying.
