Laws passed by the US Congress and Senate are meaningless as long as the US Supreme Court can ovr rule or neutralize them!

The list of “undesirables” and implied “expendables” keeps growing, and with it the change in policies & enforcement:
Immigrants (documented & undocumented). Detained immigrant children. Asylum seekers. Disabled/Seniors/others on Medicaid. Trans folks. Unhoused. Veterans. Families using SNAP benefits. “Antifa terrorists” & protesters. Haitians & Somalis on TPS. (Plus, non-whites, non-Christians…and others I can’t recall right now.)
With its recent rulings SCOTUS has made our Constitution a tragic joke.
🔺The first movie I remember seeing was a 1945 newsreel of victims just released from Nazi death camps.
🔻I think it’s time to wake up before ”the list” becomes an American Holocaust. (Look at the people in charge!) -

@JamesGleick Huge fan of Josh Marshall and his ability to elucidate what every honest journalist should be saying at this point.
After we get Biden re-elected, we need to nuke the filibuster, codifying Roe V. Wade, and work on reforming the court through expansion and term limits, because without a honest judiciary, we can past the most progressive agenda in 100 years and have it undone by this court.

#scotus is such a political org that’s epically full it. This case had zero standing. The state couldn’t prove it would be harmed at all. Roberts redefined what the HERO act meant and did linguistic jujitsu to twist the meaning of the word “waived” to fit his ideological purpose. They are playing legislature.
