Vielen Dank für die Ehre, das freut mich natürlich sehr - nicht zuletzt, weil wirklich viel (schöne!) Arbeit in jede einzelne Ausgabe einfließt.
Der Modus ist: Alle 4 Wochen Samstag um 20 Uhr - wobei pro Sendung nach 14 Tagen eine Wiederholung folgt (gleicher Zeitslot).

Meine Kriterien sind:
- Gute Musik ¹)
- Möglichst verschiedene Genres anbieten
- Infos zur Musik und Künstler:innen - für jeden Song
- Unbekannte und neue Sachen genießen prinzipiell Vorrang
¹) Gute Musik? Ich bin so arrogant zu behaupten, dass ich weiß, wann Musik gut ist - unabhängig ihres Genres. Das sind zum einen erstmal ganz grundsätzlich ein Mindestmaß musiktheoretischer Merkmale, die ich erfüllt sehen will, aber ansonsten bin ich hier möglicherweise neben der Spur: Mir ist völlig egal ob ein Musikstück gut produziert ist oder super Hifi klingt, im Gegenteil: Ich werde dann sofort skeptisch, ob das nicht etwa ein Kaschieren nicht vorhandener musikalischer Substanz ist. Lieber rauscht es und ist schlecht gemixt, wenn dafür in irgendeiner Form Emotionen in mir induziert werden oder wenn ich eine tolle musikalische oder auch antimusikalische Idee dahinter hören kann. Dann bin ich mitgerissen, dann kommt das in die Sendung.

In dem Moment kommt jemand mit dem Duktus eines kurz vor der Rente stehenden Beamten und fragt, ob Ihr das bitte leiser drehen könnt?
Dieses leere Gefühl der Euch entgegenwehenden empathiebefreiten Euphoriekälte aus der allgegenwertigen Nichtspaßgesellschaft habe ich mal aufgezeichnet.
Das ist gleichzeitig das Hörspiel-Kurzintro für Radio Irrtum! am Samstag nächster Woche.

In einer extrem hitzigen Diskussion mit mir selbst habe ich gerade bestimmt, welche Tracks in die nächste Radio Irrtum! Sendung kommen!
Es ist jetzt schon klar, die wird Hammer!Wochenende nehme ich auf, 1.8. isses dann soweit.

Oh nose, der Sender hat heute Abend um 20 Uhr zwei Sendungen gleichzeitig angesetzt (!), ohne es zu merken.
Ein Mal "Politik nach Acht", einmal meine Sendung "Radio Irrtum!".
Keine Ahnung, wie wir das lösen, ey, ich hab schon wieder Halsschlagader.Jedenfalls heute 20 Uhr wird es ernst auf Alex Berlin (dem Sender) und dann entweder "Politik nach 8" oder "Radio Irrtum!".

So, nächste Ausgabe von Radio Irrtum! beim Sender hochgeladen; jetzt gibz kein Zurück mehr!
Seit langer Zeit sogar mal wieder mit kleinem Intro-Hörspiel, was am Samstag Abend, dem Tag der Ausstrahlung, hoffentlich für ordentlich Verwirrung sorgt. Hauptsache, der Sender stoppt nicht vorzeitig das Band!!
Aber leider kosten diese in dem Fall 1:20min Hörspiel deutlich mehr als eine Stunde Zeit in der Produktion; ich werde das sicherlich nicht (mehr) regelmäßig durchhalten. Aber das wars mir diesmal wert :) Mehr sag ich nicht!
Mehr dann am Samstag. -
Es ist so ein schönes Wetter draußen. So richtig -schön- sommerlich. Nicht zu kalt, nicht zu heiß. Ideal.

See? Radio Irrtum! is not only a hobby of mine, it is a cooperate effort across the Fediverse to get a beautiful sound mix of positive insanity.

Last time on FM air waves, as civic stations in Germany are banned from using "UKW" starting 2026. Because everyone has nice sustainable DAB+ radio receivers nowadays. Right? RIGHT??
#Radio Irrtum! usually is a German language #radioShow exploring the sonic vastness of the #underground. Emitted transmissions may raise attention for new unheard #music all over this planet's genre spectrum. Don't worry about that #GermanLanguage - it's all about the #music!
But this time it's different! It will be a Special. About Spoken Words in music. That is, because I think Xmas - among other things - should also be about listening. To each other. To stories. Or like in this case to stories told within a musical construct.
While doing my research for this, something became quite apparent: #SpokenWords in music, beside it's powerful materializations in various genres, doesn't seem to be much of a topic in music science or music journalism – despite the lasting emotional impact that all the better pieces of Spoken Words music are able to inflict.
I.e. I couldn't find a simple historical timeline here. What are the roots? I have only one hour, so I cannot provide any deep dive, just a simplified overview. The time line of this show will range from 1966 until 2025, spoken words, 40% in German language, 60% English language.
Even if you d don't speek German: This combination of words and music will give you a sense about what's going on. This may be the only "genre" in music that will carry the emotions of the words over into your soul.

Das letzte Mal übrigens über UKW, denn Bürgerradios in diesem Land wird ab 2026
das Privileg entzogen, über FM senden zu dürfen. Haben ja auch längst alle Hörer:innen ein schönes nachhaltiges DAB+ Radio zu Hause. Oder? ODER?? [/Ironie]#Radio Irrtum! ist jedenfalls eine Radiosendung, welche sich normalerweise der Erforschung der Weiten des sogenannten #Underground widmet. Die transportierenden Ätherwellen könnten dabei Eure Aufmerksamkeit für neue unge- oder gar unerhörte #Musik über das gesamte Genrespektrum dieses Planeten hinweg deutlich erhöhen.
Aber: Diesmal läuft der Hase anders!
Es gibt nämlich ein Special! Über Spoken Words in music. Weil ich denke, das Weihnachten sich – neben anderen Dingen – durchaus auch ums Zuhören dreht. Wir untereinander auf uns. Oder auf Geschichten. Oder wie hier auf Geschichten, die in ein musikalisches Konstrukt eingebunden sind.
Im Laufe meiner Recherchen zu dieser Sendung ist mir aufgefallen: #SpokenWords in Verbindung mit Musik scheint – trotz wirklich umwerfender Beispiele aus so vielen Genres – kaum Thema bei Musikjournalist:innen oder in der Musikwissenschaft zu sein. Und das trotz des beispiellos starken emotionalen Eindrucks, den gut gemachte Vertreter dieses Stils hinterlassen können.
So konnte ich z.B. nicht mal einen simplen geschichtlichen Abriss hierzu finden. Keine Ahnung, wo (und wann) die Wurzeln liegen. Dazu kommt: Ich habe für die Sendung nur eine läppische Stunde; insofern kann ich nicht weit in die Tiefen des Themas vorrücken und statt dessen nur einen einfachen Überblick geben und hoffen, Euch dabei ein bisschen für die Materie zu begeistern. In der Sendung werde ich einen Zeitraum von 1966 bis 2025 überbrücken. Wir werden 40% deutschsprachige Tracks und 60% englischsprachige Stücke haben.
Und selbst, wenn Ihr kein Englisch verstehen solltet: Diese ineinander verschmolzene Kombination aus Worten und Musik wird Euch trotzdem ein tiefes Verständnis ermöglichen. Denn es gibt wohl kein zweites "Genre" in der Musik, das es schafft, Emotionen so direkt in Euer Gefühlsleben zu übermitteln.Folgende Gebiete werde ich abdecken:

Insofern darf das auch gern ein kleines akustisches Pre-#Weihnachtsgeschenk für Euch sein.

#Radio Irrtum! is a German language (usually) #radioShow exploring the sonic vastness of the #underground. Emitted transmissions may raise attention for new unheard #music all over this planet's genre spectrum. Don't worry about that German language - it's about the music!
Well about the latter… not this time! Neither will I talk in German the whole time but mostly in English! Because this matter is too important for the World to know (I think). Nor is this new music. But music mostly from 1979-1981, the small time frame before the "real" Neue Deutsche Welle ("NDW") broke all over, the thing the music industry transformed it into (a cash cow), something completely different compared to what its pioneers intended.
This is about those pioneers. Sick of art, or progressive rock, and punk they wanted to do something completely off limits, something completely new, something "Anti music" that still somehow was "music". Just so different. A one in a thousand years moment where people tried to get on a different track. A moment that didn't come back since.
This radio special can only cover the surface of that super diverse scene; a scene agreeing on one thing only: About not doing rock music.
Which will make this special issue maybe the most complicated, hard to get into Radio Irrtum! show ever. But if you make it, you will be rewarded, yes rewarded, with most unusual concepts in music, with humor in music (yes! - not just in text) and all in all something, you may carry with you for your whole life. If you are open to it. I mean it. I certainly did.
So: Can you stand it? Are you up to the task?
One more thing: I've prerecorded this not knowing, that Alfred Hilsberg (Zickzack Label) would leave this planet forever some days later. This show is dedicated to him. Thanks Alfred, for the sonic light you carried.

Warum? Was ist das?
#RadioIrrtum! ist eine #Radiosendung, die die klanglichen Weiten des #Undergrounds erkundet. Die ausgestrahlten Wellen lenken Eure Aufmerksamkeit auf neue, ungehörte #Musik (normaler Weise), und decken dabei ein unglaublich großes Spektrum an Genres ab.
Dieses Mal ausnahmsweise in großen Teilen in (einfacher!) englischer Sprache – damit die ganze Welt davon erfahren kann. Es geht natürlich diesmal nicht um neue Musik. Sondern um Musik hauptsächlich aus den Jahren 1979–1981, dieser kurzen wilden Zeitspanne, bevor die „echte“ Neue Deutsche Welle („NDW“) überall durchbrach. Also, das, wozu die Musikindustrie sie machte (ein gewinnorientiertes kommerzielles Etwas) – nämlich zu etwas ganz Anderem als das, was ihre Pioniere beabsichtigten.
Und genau um diese Pioniere soll es gehen. Sie hatten genug von Kunst, Progressive Rock und Punk und wollten etwas völlig Außergewöhnliches machen, etwas völlig Neues: „Anti-Musik“, die trotzdem irgendwie „Musik“ war. Ein Moment, den es nur einmal in tausend Jahren gibt, in dem die Leute versuchten, einen anderen Weg einzuschlagen. Ein Moment, der seitdem nicht wiederkehrte.
Dieses Radiospezial kann nur einen Teil dieser extrem vielfältigen Szene abdecken; einer Szene, die sich nur in einem einig ist: Unter keinen Umständen Rockmusik zu machen.
Damit ist diese Sonderausgabe vielleicht die komplizierteste und am schwersten zugängliche Radio-Irrtum!-Sendung aller Zeiten. Aber wenn ihr Euch traut, werdet ihr belohnt mit höchst ungewöhnlichen Konzepten in der Musik, mit Humor in der Musik (ja! – nicht nur im Text) und insgesamt etwas, das euch vielleicht ein Leben lang begleiten kann. Wenn ihr dafür offen seid. Bei mir ist das jedenfalls so.

Denn manche Dinge sind wichtig, andere wichtiger.
