Oh cool! It's possible to update entries on https://radio-browser.info now. Admittedly it's done via blobs of JSON over Git when the admin has the time to apply it, but it's a start 📻

I use #RadioDroid, on @fdroidorg at https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.programmierecke.radiodroid2/

It uses the #RadioBrowser database to play thousands of online streams. Like Wikipedia, https://www.radio-browser.info is a user-contributed database of online radio. It has lots of commercial stations, but lots of online-only stations and lots of Campus and #CommunityRadio too.

I'm just now using my desktop today. Shortwave (desktop app) works for stations that are already added prior to today, but searching for additional stations is down. That's pretty good though that's it's not fully dependent on radio-browser to run.

Some streaming sites have their own dedicated apps (for example SomaFM, FluxFM and Radio Caprice, though the SomaFM one is the only one I really use and can recommend) https://somafm.com/mobile/

Grateful for stumbling upon Radiolise this morning, and listening to Do You Radio. It's #opensource too, and gets all the station data from #RadioBrowser https://radiolise.gitlab.io/

I was listening on my phone speaker, and when it finished I heard nothing else for several minutes. In broadcast radio, transmitting silence is called "dead air". But there WAS something playing, it was just too quiet for me to hear it on the phone speaker.

"Verein der Freien Radios" in German is fine by me.

Is it on #RadioBrowser? I couldn't find it with a search for "Verein" or "Freien". I could add it myself, but better if that's done by someone involved.

https://radio-browser.info is a great resource! It helped me configure the correct metadata when I set up the stream for our #CommunityRadio station. If your Community Radio station isn't on #RadioBrowser you can add it yourself!

I've always liked to listen to #radio stations directly through the #radiobrowser site. I've now discovered that it also includes a #GeoMap feature, which makes discovering new stations even easier and more fun... especially when travelling! 🌍 #internetradio #radiostation #fm #opensource #foss

Odkryłem niedawno, że aplikacja #Music dla #Nextcloud świetnie obsługuje strumienie sieciowe radiostacji 📻 Dostaję nawet powiadomienia na desktop (#KDE) gdy leci nowy utwór muzyczny 💬

Adresów strumieni szukam na #RadioBrowser -> https://www.radio-browser.info i dodaję do listy.

Wyeliminowałem w ten sposób Mytuner, który wkurzał mnie reklamami i kradzieżą prywatności‼️
