Crazy how most major #Minecraft modding-related projects had to be forked recently due to one of their maintainer’s “views”, always on the same topic
- We had PolyMC, we now have @PrismLauncher
- We had Fabric, we now have @quiltmc
- We had Forge and it was just freshly forked into NeoForge, 3 whole months after LexManos’ twitter likes have become known to the public.
In 100% of these cases, the shitty maintainers were described as “dictatorial” way before their shitty takes were made public. This actually says a lot about how big projects like these should be maintained (and how problematic people can be identified early).
Quilt has explicitly moved to a much more decentralized governance system. NeoForge was forced two days ago and has yet to settle on these decision, but wishes to do the same.

This isn't an attack on Modrinth or ModMenu. They're good people and I trust them.
But I think it's a relevant bit of context when talking about the new #quiltmc launch beacon, which stores a timestamp (without association to an IP address), and that's it. It don't even tell the beacon what version of Quilt Loader you're on.

Origins Minus 2.0 is out now!
It adds 9 Origins (replacing the base set) to pick at the start of the game, adding flavour to saves and diversity to servers.

We're releasing Switchy 1.9.0 and 1.9.1 for #QuiltMC #minecraft 1.19.2
Switchy is our server mod that allows players to customisably swap between presets full of player customisation - like nicknames, skins, inventories, positions, etc - entirely through addons.
As of 1.9, nothing can convey this concept as fast as the new Quick-Switcher screen, included in the built-in switchy-client addon.

Hey! Nerds! We've released Switchy 1.8.5, which, courtesy of KJP12, makes it much easier to develop addons or make your mod switchy-compatible.
Switchy is our #QuiltMC #minecraft mod for hotswapping between multiple "presets" of player data, utilising addons and existing mods to change out nicknames, skins, inventories, and more.

Hey look! it's Switchy 1.8! An update to our #plural #quiltmc mod that lets you swap presets of names, skins, and more on the fly leveraging the power and maintenance of existing mods.
1.8 adds data-driven Switchy modules for CCA mods. That is - any mod storing player data using the popular Cardinal Components API can be integrated with Switchy presets using a datapack with one tiny JSON file.

Rather late but here's Tablesaw, a #QuiltMC (@quiltmc) mod that adds a sawmill for cutting wooden blocks in Minecraft. It operates similarly to the stonecutter.
