  1. #github was down, you say?
    1. Firstly, only #pull_request-s were actually down. Who uses those on a platform designed for managing pull requests on top of #git?
    2. Even those were actually _working_. It was only _searching_ for a pull request that didn't work. You could still interact with pull requests if you had taken the trouble to memorize their number.
    3. Search wasn't _completely_ down. It only didn't return _all_ results. So technically #search was working. The only thing degraded was #find.
    4. And in any case, #githubstatus for #PRs remained UP! Even with >1 screen of ongoing status for a 48-hour incident, actual status of GitHub Pull Requests was UP (apart from 1h27m on the day prior to that incident). No degraded performance on the charts, nothing.

  9. Trying to run a couple dependent #GitHub #PRs in parallel and oh-my-god I forgot how awful this is. Just having to deal with "branch of a branch" is a nightmare on its own.

I've been experimenting with #Jujitsu which handles this way better, and maybe I need to finally bite that bullet.

  10. #PPL and #PRS registrations done!!
37 songs ranging from 1992 to January this year!
now to wait for the PRS tunecode, ICE Work and ISWC details in a few days time.

  11. Watched this #documentary last night. Highly recommended if you're interested in the history of the electric #guitar, and specifically what - and how - #prs did to get they are now.

Watching it will also make a dead old man very happy 😎

  12. My #AI Slop article reporting and flagging #extension is at a point where I'm ready to share it more widely. As of today you can install it right from #Firefox here:

    addons.mozilla.org/en-US/andro

Help others by reporting slop articles, and then have pages from those domains flagged in users' searches on #DuckDuckGo

Support for other #search engines and other improvements are on the todo list. If you're interested in #contributing, report issues or create #PRs here:

  13. #ngd - my first #prs - PRS SE Hollowbody MT McCarty in tobacco sunburst.

I got it 2nd hand, previous owner bought it new 3 years ago and hardly used it. Lucky me 🤤

  14. OpenChaos.dev is the pinnacle of open-source absurdity, where chaos reigns supreme and contributors compete for the most pointless yet hilarious #PRs. From rewriting everything in #Rust to adding a #GeoCities revival mode 🌐, it's a circus of code chaos 🤡. And yes, someone actually added a dickbutt 🐴🎉— because, of course, they did.

  15. New Guitar Day! First #PRS and first #baritone for me.

I spontaneously bought this when seeing it in Denmark Street today (2nd hand). It desperately needs new strings, but a few hours of earth-shaking low-B-riffing and droning in the studio confirmed that I made the right choice.

I was planning to get a baritone for a while now, and this one has most features I was looking for: semi-acoustic, P90s, light weight (3.3 kg), the only thing missing is a vibrato.

  16. I finally have my first problem with my Paul Reed Smith and it's that the threads for the bottom strap button weren't eventually meaty enough to handle the Schaller strap locks and it stripped. Should be easy to fix, but I'm thinking I should pre-emptively add some filler to the top one, too. My "cheap insurance" needs some more "cheap insurance", it seems.

On that note, I really appreciate how Gretsch does theirs.

  17. Remember I bought that #prs #guitar a couple of weeks ago?

I put on fresh strings the day I took it home, but all I had available then was a set of 9 gauge strings. I switched to a set DR Pure Blues (PHR-10, 10 to 46) this week, and the guitar is another level now. It felt great already, but it's even better now, with lower action and zero string buzz anywhere (never had a guitar that was set up so clean, and I owned many...).

The 9s played well, no doubt, but they were sounding a bit weak and sometimes shrill in high frequency ranges, muddy in low ones.

And I only did that, 'cause I stumbled over the factory specs on the PRS site - very helpful, lucky me, haha.
