By the way, the existence of "poison boys" in the latest #Valsalia / #OutOfPlacers kind of proves that I was right and #Yinglets are basically #theropods, far closer to #velociraptors than rats.

I know I have little half written scenes littering this site, but I'm very tempted to write some #Valsalia / #OutOfPlacers stuff, involving #yinglet and #baxxid characters... Would that sort of #fanfiction interest people here?

CW: Potential Spoilers for Out Of Placers / Valsalia
So it just occurred to me that #Valsalia / #OutOfPlacers basically introduced us to all of these female #yinglet characters, who all have a reason to want to stay in #Ivenmoth, while at the same time telling us that females sometimes get moved between enclaves, and that #Vizlet is in some sort of intrigue situation with #Narklet we're moving a female could be a threat.
It feels like there's a Checkov's Gun here, where the author is setting us up for a situation where Vizlet is forced to choose one of them to send to one of the other enclaves. When this happens, it will either be to write out one of those characters, likely Feena Vesaria, her closest friend, or for her to go to Trademaster Viracroix to make a deal to remove them from foreign control.
Of course, we won't find that out for a while: that's one of the problems with these long-running stories that update once a week at most.

Can't wait for #Valsalia / #OutOfPlacers (the one with the #Yinglets) to update #WordPress and activate ActivityPub support so we can follow it here and not have to check the site for updates!

Thinking about #OutOfPlacers / #Valsalia (the saucy #webcomic #Yinglets are from)
It occurs to me that #KassenAkoll would've made a good diplomat even before his #Yinglet #transformation, and the Trademaster may have had his eye on him before this all began, simply because he was respectful to non-humans, including indrel and yinglets, and even willing to bring one in as a potential new recruit. That seemed annoying to the lower officers, but the Trademaster is apparently constantly looking to improve relations with other species.
Kass isn't just uniquely suited by being a former-human yinglet, but by being genuinely friendly, personable, loyal to House Ivenmoth, and most importantly, species-inclusive. With time, he might've become a diplomat anyway, even without the #TF sequence.
...now if only Valsalia would update quicker...

Reminder that you can be active in trying to get people to join #Mastodon and/or other #Fediverse services.
Right now, I would really like to see the person who does #Valsalia / #OutOfPlacers on here, especially if they added some activity pub compatibility to the site.
I would also appreciate if someone set up a bot to link new pages of the comic when it came out.

I am hopeful that the #yinglet and #drekir folks will head over to the Fediverse too as Twitter goes down in flames.
The #OutofPlacers by #Valsalia and #TheLongHike by #Patches are lovely comics with fandoms that I hope can survive the current shakeups in net spaces
