There is so much inbound traffic on the FISK arrival into #OSH26, the end of the conga line is now 16NM west of Endeavor Bridge near Mauston. Was 1.5NM earlier.

They are currently only landing RWY 9, not sure why, but the natives are getting restless going in circles around the lakes. Some guy just cut in, another guy chewed him out, and ATC told the guy cutting end to disappear and find an alternate. FISK not taking crap from anybody.

KOSH #OSH26 just went MVFR with 4 mi vis, and the FISK VFR arrival procedure is active.

From the looks of this ADS-B Exchange screenshot, a whole lotta airplanes are about to converge on the arrival from all directions. The next few hours ought to be interesting.

Starting to feel like #OSH26 is going to be a weird one.

Here's an updated NOTAM (not really) for all VFR pilots trying to get to #OSH26 from the southeast.

Looks like dozens if not hundreds of small but active cells between you and the show.

You can try and pick your way thru the storms, or you can turn around and book a commercial flight to KATW.

Go ahead and try flying up the east coast and turn left at Pennsylvania, although all the wildfire smoke and haze might make it hard to see the WX, plus ++TS everywhere with tons of ground stops.

New #woodworking project in progress.

I am making a really stout A-frame sign (two sides) to announce our EAA meetings in our new location at KEUG.

Inside the main frame are some nice clean rails (from some premium redwood I had in stock) that form a track so we can open up the top (two screws) and swap out signs for future events like Young Eagles rallies.

This has not been sanded, and will finish with while outdoor enamel paint.

We need you to pull out, make a left turn NOW and rejoin the end of the line at Endeavor. If you cannot make it down in time, we advise to go to your alternate, tie down, and hitchhike into the show."

Well not the most ideal but my role was eliminated at my company and I am no longer employed. Having that happen right before #OSH26 sucks but it is what it is. Time to unwind a bit and focus on whats next.
