To be very clear, I’m not really looking to do furniture repair but a friend of a friend asked and I said “yes.” Stability is the key factor for assembly and repair. Things break when they become unstable. It’s why your mother said not to lean back on your chair. This looks pretty straight forward. Remove the hinges and other hardware carefully, glue and clamp the broken bits and then return it to the owner. #woodworking #woodworker #furniturerepair #onmyworkbench #cedarchest

This edge grain board looks pretty good as it comes together. The corners are rounded and the first sanding is done. There’s a skirt to be assembled to hide the marble and some additional details so the board doesn’t slide and a finger indent.
