Working with cherry is so nice and smells so good¹ even if you burn it a little. The milling went well and I was really glad that even without any clamps there's no daylight between the boards and the stop-block on the mitre gauge makes it easy to get a consistent length.
Anyone got any opinions on the order and orientation of the board before the glue-up tomorrow?
¹ I have dust collection on always during all cuts and wear a respirator for rips and sanding.

So.. I just listened to the most recent episode of #HardFork #podcast and couldn’t help but notice that in the 3rd segment of the episode (where they discuss #forkiverse updates with @pj from #searchengine ) they mention that they were surprised to see some listeners were “woodworkers in British Columbia” and I was like.. wait a minute; are they referencing me or is there a crew of people constantly covered in sawdust here that I’m unaware of?

Ich hab da dieses Internetradio. Nach ein paar Jahren, waren einige Lötstellen kaputt. Und ich hab das Gehäuse nicht reversibel aufbekommen, also musste ich ein neues bauen. Das Holz ist ein Rest vom Schubladenbauen. Das Acryl hat mich anfangs einige Nerven gekostet, aber wenn man es einmal raushat und die richtigen Werkzeuge nimmt, ist es ziemlich zufriedenstellend.
Und jetzt kann ich wieder auf Knopfdruck italienisches Radio hören.

Yesterday I asked my neighbor who is an amateur #woodworker to make me a basic spindle and he did! I’m also beginning to get the hang of the #ParkAndDraft spinning technique and it works really well with the very short fibers of native cotton.
I am carding by hand and would like to figure out a DIY solution to make better cards without spending over $100 on cotton combs. Any suggestions from the #spinning community?

Yesterday, I went to my #woodworker to order a custom #camera stand for my next #video.
I will share a photo once it's assembled. 😎
The camera will be positioned on this stand on a tripod directly behind the 32" display and facing me head-on instead of at an angle. Can't wait to test it. -

I’ve been a #woodworker for almost 50 years and never made a cutting board. Now I’ve made 2 in the last 10 days. This one I made with my son from edge grain cherry I’ve had laying around. Finish is Butcher Block Conditioner from Howard Products .

Continuing on the coffee table. I cut the tenons for the rails, and the arc on the lower edge, and dry fit the parts. The lower shelf will be captured in the lower mortises in the legs. Shout out to the delta tenoning jig and infra miter gage that makes this accurate and efficient.

Yesterday was my wife’s birthday. Our dear friend Debbie did us the huge favor of hosting and organizing the birthday party. It was a special relief knowing it was handled when the whole family got ill with Covid a few weeks before the party. So, I made this charcuterie board for our friend, Debbie.
