Now officially working as facility manager at the Hubrecht Institute, to promote and develop quantitative analysis in biology. I'm verry happy about this 😊 (it's a one-person facility, but still very proud!)

What A Week/Month

I finally have a week of holiday from my #newjob. I have been cooking full time all summer for a boarding school, so it's three meals a day for 900 people. It's hard work, but amazing for someone like me who is trying to learn how to cook for large crowds. The kitchen is quite progressive with an in-house vegetable garden (4 employees) , a strong focus on exchanging meat with beans, lentils and sunflower protein, 90-100% organic certification and an actual focus on reducing food waste. I'm learning a lot. But I'm also already starting to think of how the kitchen can implement more nuts on the menu and more #fermentation. Right now it's only sourdough, so there's room for improvement.
