April 2nd was my last day at Lyssna.
Growth was happening — just not fast enough to get the business where it needed to be. I was honest about that. We parted ways.
Grateful for the opportunity and a team I genuinely loved working with.
I grew up in a small Spanish town — bricklaying summers, coding at night, losing in sport and coming back with better homework.
This is just more homework.
On to the next challenge. -

Oh, your workplace needs German language skills. Don't worry, if you can talk to me in English, I won't mind when you talk to someone right next to me in German. I'll get better at German with time and until then I can translate everything which is written - and Teams isn't half bad with live translation either.
If you have clients who absolutely need German... I see two solutions for this:
A) I can work on internal engineering or open-source stuff, which doesn't need customer interaction.
Or:
B) You can still send me and tell your clients that I am just so good that you had to hire me before your competition did. (I am told this is totally believable.)In case someone in your org needs convincing about hiring me:
- I like computers, and I think the computers like me as well.
- I like automation and creating value at scale.
- I like to teach and mentor others, but only when they are open to it.
- I am professional and I hold myself to high standards.
- I am strategic, and an advocate (INFJ-A - if that tells you anything).
- I care.
- I'm somewhat of a big deal amongst MVPs. (I can't talk about this one because of the NDA).
- I have friends everywhere😉
I'm available for hybrid work around Zürich Metropolitan Area, and reasonable hybrid / remote work in Switzerland. I could be convinced about full remote work outside of Switzerland as well.

I find myself at a point where I'm encountering irreconcilable differences between my moral, ethical, and technical objections to the use of LLMs, and my employer's leadership's desire to force the use of LLMs into every aspect of day to day operations. As a result, I find myself #OpenToWork .
I have decades of experience in the #SysAdmin / #SRE / #DevOps / #CICD / #CloudComputing range of skills. Currently acting as a subject matter expert on #Kubernetes , #Terraform , and #Observability . Mostly supporting #GCP platforms these days, but I am comfortable pivoting to other #cloud platforms like #AWS or even #OnPrem . Can do #ProjectManagement and #TeamLeadership. Experienced in #DevSecOps and #FedRAMP processes.
I would strongly prefer to deal with no LLM tooling at all, but will settle for having to use it less than in the current environment.
