To the extent that fair use doesn't apply in the US, I would think you would get the same thing from CC BY-ND, but it is a political point for some, much like the use of -NC when in fact -SA gets most folks the outcomes they want.

A netlabel is someone that releases #netnativemusic which largely is under Creative Commons licenses but there are other sorts of licenses out there. And you dont need to release everything under CC. @blocsonic is always involved in Netlabel Day, but we've had a few commercial releases over the years.

I'm loath to add additional restrictions when getting folks to sign up is already an issue but maybe we need something new.
@wiloma random thought. Maybe next year the DJ slots are the length of the year or something. Or maybe every year the track length limit goes up a minute. A this point, that's already not a large restriction but idk sometimes goofy restrictions spark creativity. Obviously, nothing new this year for #netlabelday
