Netlabel Assembly August 16. Two sessions so folks can come from different time zones but certainly folks are encouraged to attend both sessions.
What are the problems for #netlabels? Would hosting a @bandwagon instance be useful? Would hosting #peertube be useful? Would hosting an #icecast server be useful?
Would having a central organization for YouTube claiming be useful? @@friendsofccmusic is here to help, but you need to tell us how best to help!

I guess what I am saying is that if you think the focus on #netlabels is a good direction for the organization, then of course you can tell me that, but also, you can just not show up on Sunday.
Of course, I have the time set aside, so if you want to show up and discuss what we can do to move the #netlabel scene forward, feel free to join. We will just have to see who shows up.

not really much of a thread probably, but just wanted clarify. One of the problems we have had is having big ambitions but not a lot of workers. So, while the change to focus singularly on #netlabels will not remove the #cclp we aren't really doing much other than the #CC Listening Parties and helping out with #netlabelday. The narrower focus will make the decision making process easier and thus we might actually get something done.

Want to hang out with Viktor, who manages @friendsofccmusic_ru ? Well, he will will be at the Curator Assembly at 2pm US Central on Sunday.
Want to hang out with A23P aka @alien23 ? Well, he is slated to be at the one that starts at 7am in the morning.
If we do not get a lot of curator participation, then we will almost certainly be moving @friendsofccmusic to a netlabel-only model. This largely won't change what we have been doing. Probably just more focus on #netlabels in #cclp ... a thread

Sunday July 19 I want to hear from podcasters, streamers and other curators about what they want from @friendsofccmusic. Session 1 is from 7am to 10am US Central. Session 2 is from 2pm to 5pm US Central.
Most likely, at the end of the second session, I will be making a decision about whether #FCCM is going to focus exclusively on #netlabels
Sunday August 16 netlabelists will get the same treatment.
Please invite anyone you think might be interested in any of the four sessions.

1. Regular DJ stuff. Talk between tracks.
2. Or don't. Maximum flexibility here.
3. Needs to be ##netnativemusic (mostly #ccmusic) but dont stress about it too much. Sometimes #netlabels have different licenses than the bands. Go w/ the label. Bands often don't know licensing stuffFind out more @ netlabelday.org or @netlabelday

There's a lot of talk about people wanting human interaction, but not a lot of humans signing up for #netlabelday2026 DJ slots. You can pre-record if you are busy during the week.
Play music from @freemusicarchive, Jamendo, ccmixter, artist websites, or of course #netlabels
A label is an entity that releases music. Therefore, a self-releasing musician is a label. We all wear many hats.
July 13-15 for most folks though the exact dates will depend on your timezone.

I feel like I've pitched this before but maybe in some different way. I still think recognizing folks for their achievements is important in the #ccmusic community.
I also still think expanding @netlabelday is the best way to do it, whatever that ends up looking like.
Would anyone be interested in helping make this a reality? If we can get some guidelines together before May 9 perhaps we could vote during the #netlabelassembly.
