August 16 is the Netlabel Assembly.
#NetlabelDay is a time for us to come together and celebrate the great music in the scene.
However, we need to come together more often.
Do we need new licenses? Do we need to work more closely with CCHQ? So many questions we need to answer as a community.
If you have questions, suggestions, comments, etc., please feel free to send them ahead of time so we can make sure they are addressed.

not really much of a thread probably, but just wanted clarify. One of the problems we have had is having big ambitions but not a lot of workers. So, while the change to focus singularly on #netlabels will not remove the #cclp we aren't really doing much other than the #CC Listening Parties and helping out with #netlabelday. The narrower focus will make the decision making process easier and thus we might actually get something done.

Like last year, I find myself sick in the #netlabelday run-up. So far, no one has died, but there's still time! Also, I'm not traveling.
...but there is some other stuff going on.
I did cancel the solstice 400km ride I was going to do so at least i had the foresight for that.
This was the first year I had Antwyan helping and I dont think we handled that well. Oh well, next year.

There is nothing holy about July 14. No gods, no masters.
...Or play an hour of Christian music. Turn #ccmusic into contemporary Christian for an hour. Stick it to the man! Then follow it up by an hour of #vikingmetal. Then how about some Gregorian chanting. I mean I guess that's Christian too. WILD TIMES ON #NETLABELDAY.

I'm loath to add additional restrictions when getting folks to sign up is already an issue but maybe we need something new.
@wiloma random thought. Maybe next year the DJ slots are the length of the year or something. Or maybe every year the track length limit goes up a minute. A this point, that's already not a large restriction but idk sometimes goofy restrictions spark creativity. Obviously, nothing new this year for #netlabelday
