Every new social media account has to have a first post, right? And it's always got to be something profoundly lame, like "hi, everyone, I'm a #figureskating #musiceditor based in #Finland, nice to meet you".

I would, of course, never post something like that.

And just like that, #Audacity gets removed from hundreds, possibly thousands of computers.

We are glad that we neglected to bother even trying to help the dev team when we had a chance. We saw behaviours that were suspicious. Persistant resistance to #UX improvements being one of them.

So #goodbyeAudacity, if we need you we'll use the ancient PC with no internet access.

Not even worth fiddling w the #firewall.
