  4. Ich hab heute schon wieder so lange #BaldursGate3 gespielt, dass sich das Lied "Down by the River" so in mein Gehirn gebrannt hat, dass ich es dauerhaft im Hintergrund höre.

My sweet girl #Karlach brauchte Aufmerksamkeit. Wir mussten viele Leute aus Türmen retten! Und drei missratene Verwandte vom einstigen Herrscher töten. Und #Minthara das erste Mal in der Gruppe haben.

  8. Whenever I see people trying to pidgeonhole characters - or others, or even themselves - into the infamous D&D alignment chart, I tend to get annoyed, because generally, that'll go horribly wrong due to the morally charged terms on the axis, "lawful - chaotic" and "good - evil".

Try on these labels for size: "external code adherence strong - weak" and "altruistic - egotistic". Because those will enable you to frame different cultures, as well, and also enable conflict between two "lawful good" characters. Because now, each can follow their own external code they were given with altruistic intent, and still clash horribly.

Case in point, Minthara from Baldur's Gate 3. I've seen her put variously into the "chaotic evil" camp, because she's a drow's drow, except for having one faith shattering experience that severed her connenction to Lolth. Otherwise, she follows drow culture to a t - she definitely follows the external code of her culture. So, while on the surface she appears "chaotic", she is very, very lawful within her culture. Although, equally true to her culture, she follows it egotistically.

  23. Ummm... I just stepped into Minthara's first hook up scene playing as a female drow and... Damn! While many of the romance scenes are sweet and a little hot. That one was off the chain.
