Today's project, something I've been trying to get to for months.

Step 1: Go way-too-deep on historical fire hydrant design research.
Step 2: Put way too much detail into a 3d model. Then think, why not make two different variants? Wind up with a two-nozzle 90º hydrant, and a second version with a third larger pumper nozzle too. (Because now I know the difference between hose nozzles and pump truck nozzles.)
Step 3: Make smol on the resin printer.

I found an old print of ours at #ropecon fully painted by Henri Vesanen (Insta: @figu_ukko) :owi:

We printed the elven fortress about three years ago. Its not really a failure in any way, but I do fully admit we've improved a lot since then 😅

But I think that's how it goes in all endeavours; the more you do them, the better and more refined your #craft becomes 😎 So let's keep practicing my friends!

Thanks for all the answers so far! There's a diversity of recommendation so I wonder if people have a favourite slicing program, in my case it's for #ResinPrinting (I don't know if it makes a difference), usually for very small items, with a Phrozen Mini 8K.

Le niveau de qualité que j'exige quand même, dans mes impressions, à destination de mes clients...

Sur ma dernière impression, il y a eu une pièce où j'ai remarqué une légère irrégularité sur un visage après avoir appliqué la sous-couche. J'ai donc relancé une impression, puis sous-couche, tout en gardant l'ancienne de côté au cas où.

En fait j'avais laissé les deux pièces côté à côté, et je viens de passer un moment à les examiner de près l'une et l'autre parce que je n'arrivais plus à distinguer laquelle était supposée avoir un défaut.

MyMiniFactory is raising funds for a new open-source, AI-free resin slicer. There's a ton of options for FDM printers, but the landscape of resin slicers is still pretty thin, and with Lychee getting more bloated and a $100/year subscription, a new community built option would be a huge benefit.
