On medieval cities criminology : « Surprisingly, the study found that medieval murder was not caused mainly by poverty. Unlike modern criminology, where violence is typically linked to disadvantaged communities, the Medieval Murder Map data show that wealthy areas had more murders than poorer districts. »

Jean d’Outremeuse est un historien de Liège du XIVe siècle. Dans son Miroir des histoires, une imposante chronique universelle, il a voulu faire briller sa ville et sa région natale, donner le beau rôle à sa famille, mais surtout étaler sa science encyclopédique pour fournir une histoire d’une précision inégalée sur tous les sujets qu’il abordait.

It is officially over. The manuscript of my edition/translation of Troilus and Criseyde has been sent to the publisher (Clasiques Garnier)!
Two years and a half of work, 800.067 characters (about 700 pages) and lots of headaches.

I have a theory. Given the amount of "and shortly" in Troilus and Criseyde Book V, I believe the narrator was just as annoyed as I am by the characters and their moping.
