Been using #Mastui the linux version command line app for Mastodon for a few weeks now and mostly I'm pretty impressed. I'm especially impressed when I'm actually in the mood to post some things rather just lurking and reading all the fun stuff #Mastonauts have stuck in their brains.
Oh there are a few hiccups... my installation wants to use Chinese as the default posting language and I have to remember to change that. Can't yet find the place to set it permanently. But no too bad. -

I'm curious about you other #mastodon #mastonauts' broader usage of the #fediverse.
I ask because I'm very happy here now and I'm thining about photos next. I _could_ create myself a #pixelfed account, but since this is all federated I could also just skip it and post more pics here without needing to send people to two different spots and have them follow me twice.
I get even more #confused when I think about longer-form content (which I seldom write but would love to federate too).

Today I noticed two different posts with replies where I could see the poster but not the replies. The person who was replying was tagged in response and I'm able to view their profile but why am I missing half the conversation? Glitch? Blocked instance thing? Something else?
