Been trying to get rigged and MoCap animated Blender characters from Blender to Marvelous Designer using the alembic file format.

95% of the time it doesn't work and when it does work, I have no idea why.

I essentially just want to run cloth simulations on the characters, but porting the characters from Blender to MD is such a hassle that I might abandon it altogether :/

If anyone has experience with this, I'd greatly appreciate any support.

I tried Marvelous Designer for the first time. It's really fun to use. It's easier to get suitable results than I thought

The boots are my real ones and were scanned with the Kiri Engine
clothes made in #marvelousdesigner

My latest piece is a kind of technical test dressed up as a dramatic trailer... I'm testing #ue5 #metahuman #marvelousdesigner and #b3d trying to nail down a streamlined workflow for fully CG drama and commercial work that a small team can readily produce.. Some way still to go but this is a step along the path I think.
