Me: Well, no. And I’ve worked in Dev Grp 10 yrs. There’s some DataOps that can’t be handed off, but it’s not problematic.
Guy: [I’m paraphrasing] I know better … And if we released and ran things the way Helseplattformen does (he’s referencing a fiasco software project in headlines for years and hated by all) … Everything would be efficient and cost effective!

How was my day? Well:
* My P/T job #HR is refusing to reword gender status (meaningless) to gender identity in their #EqualOps policy
* They immediately jumped to "fierce political debate"
* They dismissed concerns about changes to #EqualityAct
* A coworker #mansplained 'using the debugger' to me
* An #audiobook review misgendered me + wished I'd "done better"
* It's #VO awards time so social is just happy winners and attendees... I've never been nominated or even invited.Not great.

You ever have a “hey, wait a second…” moment that reframes something from your day in a whole new light?
I think I might have had an experience that is different from, but adjacent to, being #mansplained to. This is someone new for me, being the size and shape of human (6’6”, 375 lbs, masculine, beard) normally insulated from these kinds of things. So it was interesting, at least, from an anthropological point of view.
It also left me completely dumbfounded.
